Arvanic Pty Ltd (ABN 27 685 834 226) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What is personal information and why do we collect it?
Personal information is information that identifies you or could reasonably identify you. We collect names, phone numbers, email addresses, job titles and company details. We also collect what you tell us in an enquiry, and information contained in documents our clients share with us during an engagement.
We collect personal information directly from you by email, phone, in meetings or through the enquiry form on our website. We may also receive it from your employer when they engage us, or from public sources such as LinkedIn.
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, provide quotes, deliver and invoice our services, keep our systems secure, send business updates you can unsubscribe from at any time, and meet our legal obligations.
Our website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Our security tools record basic visit details, such as IP address, to protect the site. Enquiries sent through the website are emailed to us, and the website’s copy is deleted after 14 days.
Sensitive information
We do not seek sensitive information, such as health information or security clearance details. If it appears in documents a client shares with us, we use it only to deliver that engagement and treat it as confidential.
Third parties
We use trusted service providers to run our business, such as providers of email, file storage, accounting and website hosting. They only receive the information they need to provide their service. Some of these providers store information outside Australia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure the information is protected to a standard similar to the Australian Privacy Principles.
Disclosure of personal information
We only disclose personal information for the purpose it was collected, for a related purpose you would reasonably expect, with your consent, or where the law requires it. We may also disclose it to our professional advisers. We never sell personal information.
Security of personal information
We protect personal information with security controls aligned to ISO/IEC 27001 and the Essential Eight. These include multi-factor authentication, encrypted and managed devices, and access limited to people who need it.
We keep business and client records for 7 years to meet our legal and professional obligations, then delete them. Other personal information is deleted once it is no longer needed. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you as soon as practicable.
Access to your personal information
You can ask for the personal information we hold about you by contacting us. We will respond within 30 days and may need to confirm your identity first. If we cannot give you access, we will explain why.
Maintaining the quality of your personal information
We take reasonable steps to keep personal information accurate, complete and up to date. If you think something we hold is wrong, please tell us and we will correct it.
